NSPCC blog:

Last week, the NSPCC team came to Holy Family and delivered workshops in Years 2, 5 and 6 about empowering our children with the knowledge and skills to keep themselves safe. They learnt the importance of consent and what to do when something doesn't feel right. Of course, Buddy the NSPCC mascot helped to remind the children of the free number they can call to speak to a volunteer at the charity: 0800 1111. All the children were very engaged and the NSPCC team were incredibly impressed with our children and school, sharing the following message:

Being a Volunteer with the NSPCC grants me the privilege of being able to visit and work with pupils and staff in lots of different schools in our area. I really wanted to share with you how much I enjoyed visiting Holy Family. First off, I was offered a cuppa on arrival by the friendly reception team and I noted how the staff communicated with the pupils in a very gentle respectful way. Above all the children were so well behaved, from their conduct and participation in the workshops but also how well mannered and respectful they were, especially when walking through the school with pupils that stopped, greeted us and held doors open. What an absolute gem of a school and thank you for having us.

Thank you for an informative, engaging workshop, NSPCC!
