On 9th May, Year 1 had a wonderful day at Marwell Zoo.
We enjoyed a fantastic workshop where we learnt more about mammals, birds, fish, amphibians and reptiles. We even were lucky enough to stroke a snake and a rat! After lunch, we walked round the zoo and saw lots of different animals. We were able to identify their characteristics and could say which group of animals they belonged to.
We saw more mammals than any other group, with birds finishing a close second. Most of us were excited about seeing the leopard and could not believe how huge his paws were!
It was very busy at the zoo because there were eight other schools visiting.
Our teachers overheard some people saying our behaviour was impeccable and we had lovely manners, which made us very proud of our School. It was a long, enjoyable day and as you can see we were exhausted on the way home!
