Y1 Trip to Hillier Gardens
Year 1 had a lovely trip to Hillier's Arboretum on Wednesday 27th March. We were busy searching for signs of Spring around the gardens and we learnt all about the importance of pollination with our busy bee game. We had an amazing time beating the odds in our seed survival game where animals and bad weather stopped some of our seeds from growing but luckily every team had a number of seeds that survived at the end of the game. We also visited the sensory garden and made our own smelly caterpillars using herbs and plants that we could find. Thankfully, the weather was on our side and a great day was had by all in the sunshine!
