Year 4 blog update

Have you heard about the 99 Club? Year 4 have been working hard on multiplication this half term and are beginning to look at division. We have been really proud of our progress and enjoy challenging ourselves to progress to the next level. All this practice will make sure that we are ready for the Multiplication Timestable Check in May.

How would you feel if your brother was a Superhero? We have enjoyed immersing ourselves in the book and particularly enjoyed re-enacting the bus scene and writing a newspaper as if we were a journalist. We have used reading time to build knowledge in other topic areas. We have especially enjoyed reading about Boudicca, from our Romans History topic, and considering whether she is a hero or villain. This week, we are reading a biography of Nikola Tesla to help us understand more about inventions within our Science topic, electricity. Experimenting with building our own circuits has been so much fun!

As if that wasn't enough, we have been expressing our creativity in many ways - preparing for our upcoming music concert, learning songs for the nativity and enjoying our art skills week from last half-term. We can't wait to share more with you all soon!
