Where's Wally Fun Run!

Across our partnership, each school will be hosting a Where's Wally Fun Run in school, in aid of the National Literacy Trust!

Look out for a letter from your child's school this week which will have more details regarding the date of the run and how to donate.

The National Literacy Trust has personally supported schools across our partnership through donating new books to our libraries as well as purchasing book shelving, audio players and seating – we would love to repay their generosity by raising funds for the charity, so that other schools may benefit too.

Children can choose to either run or walk the course on the field (number of laps will be in
accordance with the children’s age) in support of transforming children’s lives through literacy. The National Literacy Trust is an independent charity that empowers children, young people,
and adults with the literacy skills they need to succeed. Literacy changes everything. It gives you the tools to get the most out of life, and the power to shape your future.

We are asking children to come into school in red or white clothing, with trainers to partake in the fun run. Please do not purchase a ‘Where’s Wally’ outfit especially for this event,
though if your child already has one, they are more than welcome to wear it! If you have any ‘Where’s Wally’ related accessories – such as a bobble hat or glasses, your child can
wear these if they choose to. We do not want parents to go to any extra expense for this initiative, plain red or white clothing is fine, or PE kit if your child does not have these colours at home.

We are running this event across all of our partnership schools and are challenging all
children to try and raise at least £5 each for the charity. If each child can raise £5, we will
raise over £5000 across the partnership for the National Literacy Trust – which would really
be something to be proud of.

We hope the children enjoy this event. Donations to the National Literacy Trust can be made
on the school’s secure ‘Just Giving’ page at: justgiving.com

All donations for this event need to be made electronically.

Please feel free to share this link
with family, friends and the wider community.
