Year 4 music concert

Wow! Year 4 teachers and parents were completely blown away by the amazing talents displayed in the music concert on Friday. The children worked really hard to practice their instruments and learnt the new skill of improvisation. It was wonderful to have some brave individuals performing solos within the groups. It also geared them up for practicing for our Nativity and carol concert that are coming up in the next few weeks.

It was fantastic to see the children's hard work and weeks of practicing pay off, they should all be incredibly proud of themselves.

English:

This half term the children have been swept away into the world of superheroes, and have written some amazing recounts of the disaster scene from "My Brother is a Superhero". They were able to apply a wide range of writing features to create tension for the reader and a sense of relief when their superhero saved the day. They are all looking forward to our Christmas themed writing topic that we are beginning this week, all about creating a trap to catch Santa.

Science

The children have deepened their understanding of electricity and how it works, exploring the dangers it can cause and how to ensure we are being safe when using it at home and in school. They have also been working as scientists creating their own working circuits and planning an experiment to see which materials conduct electricity and which do not.

Keep up the fantastic work Year 4.
