At Holy Family Catholic Primary School
Every child has the right to high quality teaching that will enable them to reach for and beyond their potential. Every child in our care will be supported to grow in Faith, to grow in Hope and to grow in Love. Growing in the Love of God, our children will become confident learners who have a desire to realise their aspirations. Our children will develop a passion for learning and its infinite possibilities in a nurturing, safe and loving Holy Family.
At Holy Family Catholic Primary School we actively promote fundamental British Values within our curriculum. This forms part of our SMSC ethos and it is woven throughout our teaching and learning, in particular through PSHE.

Holy Family Catholic Primary School is a school for boys and girls aged 4 – 11 years, where the whole staff community focus on improving outcomes for all children in the widest possible sense. We place our children at the centre of everything we do and we constantly ‘aim for outstanding’ in every area.
“Leaders consistently demonstrate high expectation for all Pupils – Teaching across the school is strong.” – Southampton School Improvement Officer.
There are three mixed ability classes in each year group and children are taught English and Maths in sets. We have developed a skills based curriculum in order to excite and engage the children in their learning. We are committed to enriching the curriculum – theme days and weeks are a feature of school life, as are visits by theatre groups and professional artists and musicians. We regularly visit places of interest both within and outside the local area. The children have wide access to music, with music throughout the school. We offer an ensemble, drumming academy, music tech mix club and choir for all to join. The school believes in offering a wide range of extra- curricular clubs, led by specialists and school staff.
“Behaviour and behaviour for learning are outstanding. The values of the school are strongly evident in the environment as well as in the actions of pupils and adults. the welcoming ethos, and staff skill sets support the development of each individual pupil personally and academically.” – Southampton School Improvement Officer.
We have a large and friendly high performing staff team and we are committed to ongoing staff development. We are linked to a National Support School, our Executive Headteacher is a National Leader of Education and our staff regularly support other schools. She also works as a supporting Headteacher and Ofsted Inspector and is well supported by a strong staff including a Head of School.
